Smt. Anita Praveen, the Secretary of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (FPI), led a roundtable discussion with industry representatives at Invest India yesterday. The main objective of the meeting was to provide the industry with information about the upcoming World Food India 2024, which will take place from September 19th to 22nd, 2024. During the meeting, participants discussed the industry’s involvement and expectations for the event, continuing a series of discussions aimed at informing stakeholders about the Ministry’s action plan for World Food India 2024 and exploring potential areas of collaboration. It is worth noting that senior representatives from major agri-food companies actively participated in this roundtable session.

During her keynote speech, the Secretary of MoFPI highlighted the immense growth and abundant opportunities in the food-processing industry. She also announced the upcoming 3rd edition of the highly anticipated World Food India event, which is expected to be even bigger than the previous edition in 2023. The Secretary warmly invited all companies to participate in the Mega Food Event, scheduled to be held in New Delhi from September 19th to 22nd, 2024, with great enthusiasm.
